Puerh Chunk is a chuck of tea leaves glued together by α-hydroxy acid during the process of Puerh tea. Originally the chunk was being thrown out but because of its unique shape and taste, it became tea enthusiast’s favorite.
Because it’s in chunk form, it is not necessary to break it apart when brewing the tea, rather, it produces best taste when it remains in one piece.
Due to its form, Puerh Chunk can produce same consistency and taste even after twenty brews.
Through the process of piling, the caffeine was complete eliminated in the Puerh tea and hence it does not upset stomach but rather enzyme within the Puerh tea helps digestive system to speed up metabolism and help body absorb nutrients more efficiently. It is considered the best natural diet tea in Chinese medicine.
When brew Puerh tea, it is best to “risen” the tea for 2 seconds before brewing to rid of impurities in the tea after more than six years of piling.
